When we opened Slow Century Records, our goal was never just to sell vinyl.
We wanted to create a place where people could discover music, chat about their favourite albums, support independent artists, and help bring live music back to our local community.
In less than a year, thanks to you, we've celebrated our first Record Store Day, hosted live music on Knowle High Street, launched our own record label, welcomed amazing local musicians into the shop, and met some incredible people who have become regular faces and friends.
Now we've got the chance to be recognised nationally.
The Association of Independent Music (AIM) Awards 2026 have opened nominations for Best Independent Record Store, and we'd be absolutely honoured if you felt we were worthy of your nomination.
